Installation & Service Technician

Prairie State Water Solutions is looking for a highly qualified, highly motivated individual to serve on our team of Service Technicians. This member of our team will primarily be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of residential and small commercial water treatment systems. Other responsibilities will include salt delivery, filter changes, and other tasks as assigned by management. Service Techs inspect, diagnose and recommend additional products or services to address customer needs.

The ideal candidate must have the ability to work on their own with little direct supervision, have great organizational skills, learn quickly, a clean driving record, and be mechanically minded. This position will spend a majority of the time unsupervised in customers' homes and therefore must be able to pass a background check. It will be essential for the candidate to clearly and consistently communicate with customers and co-workers. This position will also require using a hand cart to remove water treatment equipment from basements, sometimes weighing in excess of 100 lbs., as well as carrying 50 lb salt bags multiple times per day.

The successful candidate will have experience in the water treatment industry with some mechanical or plumbing background.  Pay will vary based on experience and work history.

This is an hourly position and you will be expected to work between 40-50 hrs per week.
